Investor Impact, Inc. was established in Tokyo in December 2012. The heritage of the company traces back to IBI, Inc., founded in 1972 as Japan’s pioneering investor relations (IR) consultancy, and acquired in August 2003 by LSE-traded WPP plc. To offer an expanded array of and greater focus on global IR services, the management of the IR team at WPP plc’s Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Japan), Inc. split off its IR services into a new, independently-owned company, Investor Impact, Inc.
